Teeth Whitening
Whitening occurs from the peroxide penetrating into the enamel and dentin and oxidizing the offending stains with in the tooth.
In our office we take impressions of the patients mouth and make whitening trays. The patient will dispense the Opalescence whitening gel into the trays and sleep in them. The gel remains active in the the mouth for 8 to 10 hours. If instructions are followed, more predictable results are obtained in the days rather than weeks.
Opalesence is a dentist-controlled, dentist- surpervised, take-home whitening system dispenced in unit dose syringes. Opalesence has been shown to be effective for removing the colors present on the teeth for the time of tooth eruption and/or the stains of aging.
